The Glass House Beachfront Restaurant and Bar, Najomtien Beach, Pattaya

This is a great place to relax and have some really good food, have a Cake with Coffee or a Cold drink. Make it romantic or bring the kids for family time. It has spectacular views of the beach and seafront, and you can sit on the beach or under cover with seating on three floors! The place is really large and rambling with lots of choices of seating, including some with Aircon. So I said to the waiter ” Do you have Crabs Legs ?” He said ” No, it’s just the way that I walk! “ There are lots of tables for extended family gatherings here! Or you […]

Chow Soy, Chinese Food & Guest House, Soi Chaiyapoon, Pattaya.

Chinese Food (English Style) but maybe an oxymoron hanging in there somewhere! They also do English and Thai Grub to cover a variety of tastes. The Menu covers a fair bit of stuff, all the usual Chinese things, Sweet and Sour to Spring Rolls, Beef Curry to Fried Rice. As well as the full size Menu they have also produced a Take Away style Menu as below! The English food covers Sausage and Mash, Pies, Gammon, Steaks and assorted all day Breakfasts, Omeletts and Desserts including Apple Pie with Custard or Ice Cream. There is of course Thai Grub on the Menu. It is simply nice food at very reasonable […]

The Players Sports Bar, Featuring :- PrimeBurger, Soi Buakhao, Pattaya.

Maybe that should be PrimeBurger, Aka The Players Sports Bar, Soi Buakhao, Pattaya. Just a chance visit found a really great Burger! Never expected that! Meeting friends on Soi Buakhao, a phone call as we arrived gave us a heads up for a place I did not know. The Players Sports Bar ? Never heard of it! Not having been there before, or really knowing anything about it, we just went looking for The Players Sports Bar and seeing the Sign from further along Soi Buakhao we then discovered it was the old Butchers Arms. Completely new management now and being The Players Sports Bar, I find it odd that […]

Sawang Boriboon Foundation, Pattaya, Thailand.

It started out as a Thai-Chinese Buddhist Humanitarian Charitable Organization founded in 1948. They have a place very near to Naklua Fish Market in Pattaya, Thailand. It is a good place to go to make Merit, that is to give something away or help others, to try and get a bit of good luck, sometimes for your birthday or sometimes because your luck is a bit thin to non existent, or maybe donate some money for no reason! I guess it is a reflection of the Buddhist Philosopy of doing good for others to get brownie points! Not only run by donations but by some staff and a lot of […]

Sukhumvit Road, Thailand.

A bit more explaining, and if I use small words, I might even understand it myself!! The Sukhumvit Road. I guess I always thought it was a bit like “The High Street”, there is one in Bangkok and there is another one in Pattaya. Who knew it was the same one! Ok just me then! Most people have heard of it, been on it, tried defying death to cross it or just looked on in wonder, but it is really a massive long highway running through Bangkok and then south following the coast mostly, and through Pattaya (of course) and down to Trat and beyond until it reaches the border […]

There is a third option which is hard not to take…..eat in first then before you leave, buy stuff to take home! O Delices is in Jomtien in their ” Walking Street”. If you turn right into Jomtien, going from Pattaya, at the traffic lights on Jomtien Second Road, then it is just on the right before you arrive at the left turn along the beach.
