The Glass House Beachfront Restaurant and Bar, Najomtien Beach, Pattaya

This is a great place to relax and have some really good food, have a Cake with Coffee or a Cold drink. Make it romantic or bring the kids for family time. It has spectacular views of the beach and seafront, and you can sit on the beach or under cover with seating on three floors! The place is really large and rambling with lots of choices of seating, including some with Aircon. So I said to the waiter ” Do you have Crabs Legs ?” He said ” No, it’s just the way that I walk! “ There are lots of tables for extended family gatherings here! Or you […]

O Delices Bakery, Jomtien Walking Street, Jomtien, Pattaya.

This is a French Bakery, where you can buy some great and varied Bread, Pastries etc or just sit down inside or out and treat yourself to a Breakfast or a Variety of Cakes or Pastries and some good coffee. There is a third option which is hard not to take…..eat in first then before you leave, buy stuff to take home! O Delices is in Jomtien in their ” Walking Street”. If you turn right into Jomtien, going from Pattaya, at the traffic lights on Jomtien Second Road, then it is just on the right before you arrive at the left turn along the beach. There is a large […]

Aloha Cafe, Chum Phae, Khon Kaen, Thailand.

A nice place for some nice grub and a coffee or a snack. Aloha is in an area where there is not too much of a choice for a bit of grub and a bit of aircon. Situated on the edges of Khon Kaen and Chaiyaphum districts Chum Phae is here Google Maps link is here. Been there to get my fix of Farang grub many times, and always good food and good staff. Apart from Pizza’s there are a variety of Salads, and then a variety of Pork, Beef, Salmon, Chicken and Fish & Ship! I must admit I have never tried the Fish & Ship but probably ok […]

hideaway guesthouse pattaya thailand

The Hideaway Guest House and Bar, Soi Buakhao 15, Pattaya, Thailand.

This is a friendly Guest House and Bar. Situated just off Soi Buakhao. Run by the owner, a very friendly chap called Andy and when I met him I found he was someone I had to really look up to! He has been running the Hideaway for almost four years. They are on Soi Buakhao 15 which is the Soi that runs from Soi Buakhao to the back of the Avenue Mall, so it is easy to find. For Google Maps this is the link. They are down the Soi opposite the Nature View Hotel. They do have entertainment on some evenings, such as every Wednesday evening at 8.00 is […]

Coffee Break, Phratamnak Hill, Pattaya, Thailand.

Ok this is somewhere to have a coffee or a cold drink. Well worth a trip to actually see such a magnificent view of the Pattaya Beach front along, well, Pattaya Beach Road!  Always popular and it can get crowded and the view can be obscured by Selfie Cameras! Coffee Break is up a one way road that loops round to the right and back to the bottom. It is not the real Yellow Brick Road but it is protected on both sides by some yellow rollers, so should you have a brake failure at the top it will operate like a toboggan run and funnel you to the bottom […]

The Tree House, Pattaya, Thailand.

The Tree House is a quiet place to go for some grub or a coffee and cake. Or even both! Pleasant clean and inexpensive! Nicely decorated inside and a nice garden outside which is worth a wander round with a childrens play area and swings. Food is a gentle mixture of Thai and Farang including snacks and a showcase of assorted cakes to choose from. Staff are always helpful and polite and in abundance! Oh did I mention Bingsu? This is a Korean dessert which is made from Shaved Ice and sounds at first a bit of a non starter but in fact is, surprisingly, really good and worth a […]

Aroi Restaurant, Pattaya, Thailand.

This is a very nice Pub and Restaurant and it has a Continental flavour. Ok it is actually a Continental Restaurant. They have been around here a while now but they have just moved about 400 metres further up the road (away from the Sukhumvit ) and round the corner on the left. Easy to follow signs are there to help find the new location, but it is on the road opposite the new CJ Supermarket. I always thought the old place was a bit oversize, but maybe that was just because of the long and narrow layout. The new place is a little smaller but it is not small […]

Front of Time Out Bistro

Time Out Bistro Coffee, Pattaya, Thailand.

A very nice little Continental Bistro, Cafe, Deli and Bakery. This is a very multi-functional place. Hot or cold food, Cakes, Coffee, Beer, Wine or Spirits as a Cafe. Bread, Cheese, Cooked Meats, Cakes, Bottles of Wine or a Coffee Machine and Coffee pods as a Bakery/Deli. Food is always good and I usually have a breakfast which comes with a juice and a nice coffee. Sometimes something a little smaller or just different, chosen from the bi-lingual menu. Being on open fronted Cafe there is, of course, always a chance of someone with a fag on, but the two innermost tables have a no smoking sign which is always […]
