Just a day out in Udon Thani. My first trip up here. Lots of stuff going on so it can be difficult to choose which places to visit. Just an hour and a quarter for a flight from Pattaya U-Tapao to Udon International Airport or about a nine hour drive along 690 Km of the route 7, route 9 and route 2 roads. We randomly chose the Thanbury Hotel, situated near to some of the bars and restaurants as well as Central Plaza Shopping Mall. This Hotel is situated right in the center of Kasset Sombun in Chaiyapum District. Opposite the Hospital and adjacent to the Sunday Market. From the front it is not so much to look at, but behind it, is a two story block with 28 rooms with some rooms being a little larger and better presented. Every room has Aircon, a Fridge and an Ensuite Loo with Electric Shower. The rooms are on two levels with the ones upstairs being accessed from the outer balcony.
