Like Fish and Chips do we?? Well just forget about that. No sign of Cod and Chips here.

This market is a veritable visual cacophony of seafood. I have no idea what a lot of them are, but there are a few I seem to recognise.

Squid, Octopus, Small Prawns, Wowthatsbig Prawns, Crabs, Mussels, Pink fish, Silver Fish, Small Silver Fish, Scallops, Horseshoe Crabs, Oysters, Cockles

As well as the fresh fish there is the usual dried Squid, and stalls of assorted Vegetables.

If you want to take some up (or down) country you can buy a polystyrene box and fill it with Seafood of choice with packed ice to take on a trip and keep it fresh.

Ever seen a pickup with boxes on the back and pipes or a pump in view?

This is the way they transport live seafood to the market. Tanks of water on the back and an airpump to keep the water airated

Naklua Fish Market has car parking outside.

Then of course, we had some for dinner! Is this what they call After Market Consumables?

  • One of the best seafood markets anywhere, period.
One thing you must mention too is the many BBQ guys that can cook the food fresh, supply a mat to sit on in the park next-door, they add the sauces, sell you drinks and it’s a very inexpensive fast service.
Great to go with a group as you will always buy more than you can eat, guaranteed!
